What is a perfume oil?

A Huil de Parfum (French for "fragrance oil" or "perfume oil") is a special type of perfume based on pure oils and containing no alcohol. Unlike conventional perfumes, which often have a high alcohol content, Huils de Parfum consist exclusively of concentrated fragrance essences in an oily base.

Properties of a Huil de Parfum:

Higher concentration and intensity: Because it's a pure fragrance oil, the fragrance concentration is usually significantly higher than in an eau de parfum or eau de toilette. The fragrance notes are therefore more intense and richer.
Long-lasting: Fragrance oils adhere better to the skin and evaporate more slowly, resulting in a long-lasting fragrance experience. The scent often stays on the skin for many hours because the oil base allows it to develop more slowly.
Gentle on the skin: Because it doesn't contain alcohol, Huil de Parfum is particularly gentle and well-tolerated, ideal for sensitive skin types. It avoids the drying feeling that alcohol-based fragrances can sometimes leave behind.
• Intimate fragrance development: The fragrance composition develops closer to the skin and is often somewhat less "intrusive" than spray perfumes. The oil can be precisely applied to the wrists, neck, or other areas, allowing the fragrance to subtly accompany your personal aura.
